Voice Control with Wireless Smart Switch

First of all, there’s many wireless switch. For this I will be focusing on Sonoff since it’s the cheapest I can find on Lazada and it works with Google Home and Alexa.

In this example I will be using this switch to table fan.

Step 1 – Cut the power cord of the table fan and strip both ends of the wires.

Step 2 – Insert all ends as shown below.
2 things to take note of

  • Input refer to the end place with power plug and Output refers the end with the fan.
  • The Brown color wire is the live wire while blue color is neutral wire.

Step 3 – Follow this video to install the eWeLink app and add Sonoff smart switch.

Step 4 – Follow this video to allow Google Home to control the eWeLink app.

Step 5 – Done.
